X-ism was founded one day when Gerald Tarrant was surfing the internet looking for X Japan fan webrings. He found a Laruku one (which he's a member of) and a Glay one (which he's a member of) and a Luna Sea one (which he's a member of) and about 10 billion Gackt ones.

But there was no X Japan fan ring.

He thought that was absurd! So he made one.

Basically, in case you didn't understand the nice story above, X-ism is a webring for fans of X Japan to join and find other X fans. Think of it as a network of sorts linking sites of people just like you who love X Japan and their music. The name is taken from one of the X Japan photobooks.
